Clinton To Campaign For Obama In New Hampshire

Print

WASHINGTON (September 28, 2012)—Former President Bill Clinton will be back on the campaign trail on behalf of President Barack Obama.

The Obama campaign said Clinton will hold an event Wednesday in New Hampshire, the day of the first presidential debate.

Mr. Obama and Republican Mitt Romney debate two more times in October.

In 1992, Clinton became the first Democrat to carry New Hampshire in the general election since 1964.

Clinton has become a key surrogate for Obama, particularly on the economy.

He delivered a well-regarded speech at the Democratic Party's convention earlier this month, then made a two-day campaign swing for the president in Florida.

The former president is expected to hold more events for Obama in the campaign's closing weeks.
