Georgia Expands Gun Carry Rights

ELLIJAY, Ga. (April 23, 2014) Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed a bill into law Wednesday that allows residents with concealed carry licensees to carry guns into bars, some government buildings and places of worship if religious leaders say it's OK.

A few hundred gun rights advocates gathered to watch the bill signing.

Also under the law passed this session, school districts will now be able, if they choose, to allow some employees to carry a firearm under certain conditions.
