WACO (September 3, 2013)—U.S. Rep. Bill Flores, R-Bryan, visited with veterans Tuesday in Waco and toured the Waco's Veterans One Stop on Austin Avenue.

Veteran One Stop is designed to help veterans and their families understand education and community resources available to them.

Flores said he is pleased with the way things are being run the facility.

Flores also said Tuesday he does not support President Obama's call for military reaction in response to Syria’s use of what the administration says were chemical weapons against civilians.

Flores said while the events in Syria are tragic, he does not believe they pose a clear and present threat to the United States.

"I do not think this administration has the ability to go in and get the job done correctly so for all those reasons, no involvement in Syria," Flores said.

"That is where my vote is today and I have not seen anything from the president that would convince me to change that."
