Obama Pays Tribute To Victims Of Boston Bombings

BOSTON (April 18, 2013)—President Barack Obama attended an interfaith church service Thursday in honor of the dead and wounded from the Boston Marathon bombings.

Then Mr. Obama went to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he met privately with patients, their families and staff.

During the church service, Mr. Obama vowed to hunt down those responsible for the twin blasts.

"You will face justice,” he said.

And he said that if the bomber or bombers who struck the Boston Marathon were hoping to "intimidate" or "terrorize" Americans, they "picked the wrong city to do it."

Like the marathoners themselves, Obama said, "We may be momentarily knocked off our feet," but that "we'll pick ourselves up."

He said Boston residents gathered Tuesday "to reaffirm that the spirit of this city is undaunted."

"You will run again!" he declared.
