Obama Climbs Back On The Campaign Bus

WASHINGTON (July 4, 2012)--President Barack Obama embarks Thursday on his first bus tour of the 2012 campaign and is seeking to raise more questions about Republican rival Mitt Romney's business record.

During the trip, he'll also face another important update on the economy.

Mr. Obama's "Betting on America" bus tour will take him through several northern Ohio communities that formed the backbone of his support in 2008 and into western Pennsylvania with a stop in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Obama has released new advertising questioning Romney's commitment to keeping jobs in America while highlighting his decision to rescue U.S. automakers, a major employer in Ohio.

But the economy will be a key focus Friday, when the June jobs report is released.

Unemployment ticked up to 8.2 percent in May.
