PAC Buys Anti-Perry Ads In California

Print

AUSTIN (February 12, 2013)—The Lone Star Project, a progressive political action committee, has bought radio ads in California apologizing for Texas Gov. Rick Perry "getting out again."

The PAC ran the ad on Tuesday in the middle of Perry’s trip to recruit California businesses to relocate.

Perry was featured in different ads last week, in which he denigrated California taxes and regulation and touted the Texas business climate.

The progressive's radio ad is airing in many of the same places, only offering a very different point of view.

A male voice with a Texas drawl apologizes for Perry, repeats criticisms that Perry misuses taxpayer money to attract businesses, and insists that Texas is a nice place to live despite the current governor.

California Gov. Jerry Brown has called Perry's trip insignificant.
