Romney Attacks Health Care Bill

SALEM, Va. (June 26, 2012)--Republican Mitt Romney lashed out Tuesday at President Barack Obama's health care overhaul ahead a Supreme Court ruling on the sweeping legislation Thursday.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee told Virginia supporters Tuesday that Mr. Obama's first term will be wasted should the high court strike down the law and if the law is upheld, Romney said, Americans will need a president like him to stop the law on "day one."

Romney's comments came two days before the Supreme Court is set to decide the constitutionality of the health care law.

The election year ruling could have a big impact on the presidential contest and the lives of millions of Americans.

Romney has promised to replace the law with common-sense reforms, but his campaign has spent little time so far crafting a comprehensive plan.
