WILMINGTON, Del. (August 20, 2013)--Vice President Joe Biden was at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Tuesday where his son, Beau, is undergoing medical tests after experiencing weakness and disorientation last week.
Beau Biden, 44, who’s Delaware’s attorney general, suffered a mild stroke in 2010.
He began experiencing symptoms of weakness and disorientation while driving to Indiana for a family vacation, a Delaware Department of Justice spokesman said.
He was admitted to a Chicago hospital and then traveled to Philadelphia to consult with his doctor before going to the Houston hospital accompanied by his father.
It's not clear how long the vice president will remain in Texas, but he's still scheduled to join the president in Scranton, Pa., later this week.
