Sue and Curt did you two read the story. The story states verbatim, "Obama says Americans will accept his proposed economic stimulas plan, but only if they believe the money is being used wisely." Republican legistlators agree with him. I guess some folks will find fault in anything. Some republicans are advocating that the government not give hard hit states the money but instead, offer it as a loan. This is what should have happened with the other two bailouts that were caused by the public sector. Funny that republicans were not advocating this during those bailouts. Wonder why?

He says he is going to create 3 million new jobs with 80% of them in the private sector.. So that means 600,000 of that 3 million jobs will be government (federal) jobs. Do we really need 600,000 more government employees with life time pensions, healthcare etc at the cost of the tax payer? Government is the PROBLEM. We need less of it not more.

Giving money back to the tax payers enables the citizens to pay off debts which also pays off creditors which helps the economy. More advantages and impacts the economy quicker with less waste,(no bonus pay outs for the big shots for one). Sounds like a better ideal than giving it to big companies to do with what they wish! Hope this is not a smoke screen? Sounds like what the republicans use to stand for. Let's make sure he is not a wolf in sheep clothing! I believe more people are aware of their money and government than prior times. Maybe, we have woke up due to the economy, (hit us in our wallets)? Either way, our future citizens will have to pick up the tab!
