AUSTIN (April 21, 2009)--A Texas Senate committee approved a bill Tuesday that would allow the state to issue "Choose Life" license plates, a measure supported by Gov. Rick Perry and anti-abortion groups.

Approved 6-1 Tuesday by the Health and Human Services Committee, the bill now goes to full Senate for a vote.

A similar measure is pending in the House.

Supporters say 19 other states that have the plates on the road have raised more than $10 million for organizations that counsel and support women who choose adoption.

So there will also be a "pro-choice" tag as well right? The money raised by "pro-choice" tags could go to organizations that teach people what their parents dont them so that they can become responsible parents instead "ooops" parents! I would also like to see one that supports gun ownership!

Will the State of Texas approve a license plate that reads, "Choose Abortion"??? What about free speech? Abortion is a personal choice and it isn't up to the State or the Federal Government to send an anti-abortion message to everyone. Some of you will say, "Abortion is against God's will." Well, that is between the person getting the abortion and God. Rick Perry is against abortion because it means a future tax payer won't be lining his buddie's palms with money.

Then there should also be a "Choose Death" plate.
