Farmer Bureau PAC Endorses Staples, Combs
The political arm of the Waco-based Texas Farm Bureau is endorsing incumbents in the race for state agriculture commissioner and state comptroller.

WACO (July 6, 2009)--The Texas Farm Bureau's political arm has endorsed the agriculture commission and state comptroller for re-election in 2010.

The Texas Farm Bureau Friends of Agriculture Fund Inc. announced on Monday that it will support Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples and Comptroller Susan Combs. It cites the two Republicans' support to ranchers and farmers.

Staples and Combs have announced plans to seek re-election.

Combs was Staples' predecessor as agriculture commissioner.
