BELGRADE, Mont. (August 14, 2009)--President Barack Obama said Friday he isn't trying to vilify the insurance companies, but says he's just trying to stop the practices that hurt people.
Mr. Obama was responding to an insurance salesman who asked about the president's change in terminology.
Mr. Obama has switched from calling for "health reform" to "health insurance reform."
He has also complained about insurance companies' profits.
The president said his intent was not to vilify the big companies.
He said some, like Aetna, are working with the administration on overhaul, but he said others are spending money to oppose his efforts to remake the system.
Mr. Obama kicked off a four-state swing in Montana to push for his top domestic priority and regain the initiative in the bitter debate.

Just The Facts, with Medicare you get ONE PHYSICAL per lifetime. With the private insurance Medicare Advantage plans you get yearly physicals, most companies offer them at NO COST. Which plan would you want for your parents? With Medicare you get NO dental or Vision, with Med Advantage plans you get benefits or discounts for those services, plus much more preventive care that you do not get with Medicare. Obama wants to cut Medicare Advantage Funding. He stated they offer what Medicare offers", and make a profit. The insurance companies make .01%-.02 profit. Yes, it can be costly, but you get what you pay for. If you want to drive down health care costs start talking about Tort reform. A large % of Dr and Hospital fees goes towards their malpractice insurance. Some Dr's pay over $300K per year just for malpractice. That's what is driving the costs so high. As for RX companies, most of the profits the RX companies make today goes towards the costs for research for new drugs.
This has nothing to do with religion or Hitler, what it is about is Insurance companies sucking the life from the American people. The entire world are amazed at the rediculous arguements made on this issue. The choice is a simple one, do you want affordable healthcare or will you allow the insurance companies to make that decision for your Children. It's not about socializism or Hitler or any other of ridiculous arguements that have been raised. Quit being puppets, this country needs Healthcare reform now. Not after the next election, because that is the unspoken issue now isn't it.
Our country was founded on Christian priciples.Obama has opposed & reversed any Christian principle which was previously put in place. He is now trying to impose all of his ways on the American citizens such as the "healthcare reform".Is Hitler living again?I can only pray that God will change his heart before it is too late.
