Edwards To Visit TSTC Campus Thursday
Nearly a week after holding a town hall meeting about healthcare reform, Rep. Chet Edwards will be in town again Thursday.

McLENNAN County (September 03, 2009)-Nearly a week following his town mall healthcare meeting, Rep. Chet Edwards will be in town again Thursday – this time at the Texas State Technical College campus in Waco.

Edwards will visit the TSTC Aerospace Technology Center at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The center was recently awarded a $1.5 million federal grant.

TSTC hopes to use the money to support new high-tech aviation and aeropsace workforce training programs.

The reason the airport has not expanded is becuase the city of Waco wants sole control over the TSTC airport and TSTC will not let that happen. Waco thinks they are better than anyone else and whatever they say goes. The City of Waco needs to learn to work with other people and make the city a better place to live and work.

I'll totally agree with you LN: Robinson, The City of Waco/City Mayor/Manager/Council/Chamber of Commerce 'all' agreed on this (years ago) about Madision-Cooper not being the right place, but then went right on and spent/wasted millions of dollars remodeling the Terminal, and 'now' are spending/wasting 8 plus million on runways, etc. James Connally/TSTC is still the ideal place for a Modern Airport. Look at what Austin did with Bergstrom!!! But We have to consider the morons we have running Waco!!! The Government spent a lot of money to accomodate Air Force 1 at TSTC!! But Waco 'never' learns!!! And sorry next best thing:hewitt, but you still don't understand who runs/controls Waco.
