Killeen Man Named To State Board Of Podiatric Medical Examines
A Killeen podiatrist has been named to the Texas State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.

AUSTIN (October 9, 2009)—Gov. Rick Perry has named Dr. H. Ashley Ledger of Killeen to the State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.

The appointment was announced Friday.

Ledger, the owner of Ledger Foot and Ankle Clinic, was one of three men Perry named to the board Friday to terms that expire in July 2015.

The board licenses podiatric physicians and regulates podiatric medicine in the state.

H. Ashley Ledger of Killeen is a podiatrist and owner of Ledger Foot and Ankle Clinic. He is a member of the American and Texas Podiatric Medical associations, a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also a member of the Killeen, Copperas Cove and Harker Heights chambers of commerce. Ledger received a bachelor’s degree from Austin College, and a bachelor’s and medical degree in podiatric medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.

Charles Jason Hubbard of Austin is a podiatric surgeon, owner of the Center for Feet and Ankle Surgery and chief of podiatry for St. David’s Medical Center. He is an American Board of Podiatric Surgery diplomate, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Hubbard received a bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University and a medical degree in podiatric medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.

Morgan Talbot of McAllen is an attorney in private practice. He is a member and past director of the State Bar of Texas, member and past president of the Hidalgo County Bar Association, and a member of the Texas Academy of Probate and Trust Lawyers. He is also a founding member of the Rio Grande Valley Estate Planning Council and McAllen Housing Services Inc., past director of the City of McAllen Housing Authority, member and past chairman of the University of Texas Pan-American Foundation, a member of the City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Board and past vice chairman of the Texas State Independent Living Council. Talbot served in the U.S. Army. He received a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of Texas.
