Death Penalty Opponents Rally At Texas Capitol
Death penalty opponents have rallied in Austin to call for a moratorium on executions and to focus attention on the controversial case of a Central Texas man whose capital murder conviction and execution have been called into question.

AUSTIN (October 25, 2009)---Convinced that an innocent Central Texas man was executed in 2004, death penalty opponents rallied Saturday at the Texas Capitol to call for a moratorium on capital punishment and to highlight the controversial case of Cameron Todd Willingham.
Willingham was convicted of capital murder for the 1991 deaths of his three children, who died in a house fire in Corsicana that Willingham was accused of setting.
But forensic scientists have called into question the arson evidence that was used to convict Willingham, who maintained his innocence until his death by lethal injection.
Among those speaking at 10th Annual March to Abolish the Death Penalty Saturday were Elizabeth Gilbert, Willingham's friend and former pen pal, several exonerated ex-convicts and activists from the Texas Moratorium Network and the Campaign to End the Death Penalty.

These liberal loon protesters write death row inmates all the time often entering into bizzare relationships. Of course, they think they are all innocent and victims. They need to get to a good online dating service instead of trolling for inmates.
One of my favorite things about TX is it's readiness to execute those convicted and sent to death row. I'm too stupid to understand how sending these killers to death row to die is more expensive than letting them live out their worthless lives off my dime. Getting to take college classes, having a warm place to sleep every night, 3 meals a day and a place to work out while demanding nothing of them to help contribute to the society that they weren't able to live in isn't acceptable. How can that be less expensive to taxpayers than killing them in a much more humane way than they allowed their victims.
Poor little scum lovers how dare the state of Texas execute a cold blooded murderer. These liberial democrates would rather see an unborn living child murdered instead of some low life criminal. How dare you protest the execution of these no good criminals who have never done anything good. You liberials are no better than the person who commit these brutal crimes. God forgive me but something bad needs to happen to you or your family.
