Obama supporters voted for "change" not socialism and that will be the main issue in 2010. Why do you think they are trying to cram so much legislation down our throats now?

I am beginning to wonder if TEXAN, CITIZEN, & DR WHO (& maybe others)are the same person, trying to convince folks the Conservative Party (supposedly the Teabaggers)is a viable alternative to the Republican & Democratic Paries. That makes sense-with the Republican Party on life support but not quite dead yet. If Republicans can be inclusive & moderately conservative, they can be resusitated. Otherwise, they bite the bullet. The Conservative Party will be a "spoiler" like Ross Perot and Ralph Nader, siphoning off votes from those qualifed candiates who could make a difference in Americans lives but cannot because they weren't elected. NY-23 election shows that Hard=Right Extreme Conservatives will be rejected by the voters. But, hey, this is America- so keep right on expressing yourself, whoever you are. Again, personal attacks on me do not make me wrong & you right--it just shows you have NO CLASS!

IN-STATE issues--Democratic corruption, ridiculously high taxes, & fiscal mismanagement-- led to the Republican winning in NJ. In VA the Democrats had an unqualified candidate who--like unqualified Sarah Palin--lost. The voters voted for the best man & not for the party. Two states do not make a trend! Conservatives were rejected in NY-23, giving a seat to Democrats for the first time in 120 years. That win is much more a fact of importance than NJ & VA. When Republicans eat their own moderate candidates, voters reject the hard-right conservative, no matter what party they belong to. With the unemployment rate going down & the economy recovering, slowly but surely- Obamanomics is looking more brilliant by the day. 2010--Bring it on!!!

Dan, Republicans won everything except that one election, and that was BARELY won against a conservative independent! If it wasn't for the Republican that dropped out throwing her support behind the Democrat, the conservative would have won! This was a huge victory day for the Republicans, so quit trying to spin this toward the Democrats! If I were a Democrat I would be very, very scared going into next year!

A 4 point win is not a "heavy" win especially when the republican candidate dropped out(she got 5% anyway), and he was up against a 3rd party candidate. If the voters acutally paid attention the people that voted for the dropped out candidate would have gone to the 3rd party candidate and the Dems would have lost. Media bias?

Glad some are waking up to the spending our Gov't is doing. It is not just the President but our congress is going hog wild which we are our citizens will have to pay back. It is like the example of credit card debt, You can't clear your debt by taking out another credit card and using it to pay the first one.
