DALLAS (November 4, 2009)--Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday the elections of Republican governors in New Jersey and Virginia this week signal dissatisfaction with policies in Washington.

Speaking at a Texas Economic Development Summit in Dallas on Wednesday, Perry said Americans were concerned about spending practices in Washington.

"Obviously, Americans in those two states, and I think there's some reflection all across the country, of concern about Washington, D.C., that is spending money seemingly hand over fist; turning the printing presses on with abandon,” he said.

Perry, who is fighting a Republican primary re-election challenge from U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, said he thinks the majority of Texans feel the same way.

Most Americans have figured out that Fox News is just a mouthpiece for the Republican Party. No one is scared of them --in fact, most Americans consider Fox News, Rush Limbaugh & Sarah Palin a disgusting bunch of hatemongering idiots who want America to fail! TWO STATES based on in-state special elections that were won by Republicans when folks voted for the man & not for the party do not make a trend. Conservatives of all parties are in trouble today. Moderate is what Americans want today.

Why are liberals so scared of Fox News? Maybe because they actually don't drink the Nobama kool aid? Even democrats are saying that they need to reevaluate their priorities if they are not to lose tons of seats in 2010. You are right in a way Observer, it is not so much a referendum on Obama. It is a referendum on the Democratic party in general. They are in trouble and they know it.
