Most Americans have figured out that Fox News is just a mouthpiece for the Republican Party. No one is scared of them --in fact, most Americans consider Fox News, Rush Limbaugh & Sarah Palin a disgusting bunch of hatemongering idiots who want America to fail! TWO STATES based on in-state special elections that were won by Republicans when folks voted for the man & not for the party do not make a trend. Conservatives of all parties are in trouble today. Moderate is what Americans want today.

Why are liberals so scared of Fox News? Maybe because they actually don't drink the Nobama kool aid? Even democrats are saying that they need to reevaluate their priorities if they are not to lose tons of seats in 2010. You are right in a way Observer, it is not so much a referendum on Obama. It is a referendum on the Democratic party in general. They are in trouble and they know it.

Slick rick better speak all he can now because i have a feeling we will have a new governor in 2010! State election are more focused for the voters because it concerns what goes on in their own backyards so to speak! I have to wonder where all these republicans were the last few years when we were waging a bogus war that now has a price tag of over $3 trillion! Why didnt they take care of health care? They act as if this issue just pooped up when obama was elected! For the most part these republicans had over 8 years to do something yet chose not to! They are always creating diversions too fool the easily manipulated americans! Be it war, the gays, abortion, or terror alerts to scare the heck out of us, the republicans skirt the "real" issues that need attention! Hell they even skirt around illegal immigration mostly i assume because of their domestic help! This country is doomed because of our government(that includes all political parties)! We have no true leaders anymore!

Obamanomics: The economic plan designed to destroy Capitalism, abolish retirement and introduce Socialism/Communism into the USA. Of course, Obama has nothing to do with it...

Observer, you are the one talking with Democratic spin. Fact is, these elections proved that people are tired with the tax-and-spend far left. This was a huge victory for Republicans and is only the tip of the iceberg as far as what will happen in 2010, especially if the socialists try to pass a faulty health care bill and the useless and dangerous cap and trade bill.

I couldn't agree more, @ Observer- They using anything they can get their hands on. If the general election were held right now, Obama would be President four more years-

Tricky Ricky SO wishes this was true! But he is only spouting GOP spin, as the voters in VA & NJ OVERWHELMINGLY said their vote was NOT a referendum on Obama & his policies--Obama was NOT a factor. In NJ, IN-STATE issues of ridiculously high taxes, rampant corruption, & fiscal mismanagement swayed voters to cross party lines to vote for the Republican & not the Democrat. (Democrats can be corrupt, too, but Republicans took it to a higher level- as absolute power such as Republicans had corrupts absolutely!)In VA, the issue was an unqualified Democratic candidate, just as Sarah Palin was unqualified & did not win. This was a state election, not federal --NOTHING to do with Washington DC at all! Two states does not make a trend. Tricky Ricky speaks with forked tongue!
