WASHINGTON (November 11, 2009)—U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he still hopes to bring a health care reform package to the floor next week.
His goal is to pass the sweeping measure by year’s end, but first, Reid is awaiting final word from the Congressional Budget Office on costs and coverage implications of the still-secret bill he submitted more than two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, advocacy groups are worried that the Senate might follow the lead of the House by approving tough abortion restrictions.
The political repercussions from that House vote are coming to light.
Louisiana congressman Anh (Joseph) Cao, the only Republican to back the bill, says some of his donors have asked for their money back and two of his fundraising events have been canceled.

I will not pay nor will I go to jail!! Willing to die in nam with two tours willing to die for my rights. No way I will pay for health care to live in my country that I have fought for! Bring it on dumocrates and take me out! One thing is for sure, I want be along! Sometimes you just have to take a stand, life or not. Rather die than give up my freedom and rights. Talk about a revolt this nation has not seen since the civil war! Call it what you want, but I stand fast. Most Americans may not have the courage to fight but some of us do. Go to h-ll with this social ideology but count me out! Most do not know until it hits them in the face. What a shock to these misinformed morons but a bigger shock to these idiots in office when all h-ll breaks loose. Send them to the door steps and get ready for some replacements. You can only push people so far. Forcing people into a corner they will come out. I will not give up my right to freedom of speech nor the right to bare harms. Have a nice day.
Pelosi: Jail time "very fair” for failing to buy 0bamacare. The non contributer will get subsidies, income redistribution you know. It’s we in the middle that risk jail on principle. Did they include billions to build new prisons? Sounds to me like a lot of us have drawn a line in the sand on this one. Seriously, if hundreds of thousands or millions of people refuse to participate and refuse to pay the fine, what do the Feds do? But hey health care is really 'free' in prison, no? Debtor prison?
This Bill needs to be STOPPED Say No to OBAMACARE, I for one says it needs to be stopped. ohhh and I am paying their salieries and Yes they do work for me ...
