Obama Eyes Domestic Spending Freeze
President Barack Obama is considering a freeze on domestic spending in an attempt to stem the flow of government red ink.

WASHINGTON (November 13, 2009)--The White House is telling domestic agencies to assume their budgets will be frozen or even cut by 5 percent as it signals a big push to take on the deficit next year, as part of a White House drive to stem the flood of red ink after a year of stimulus spending aimed at boosting the economy.
As record deficits continue, White House budget director Peter Orszag said Friday it's imperative to start curbing the flow of red ink in coming years so as not to erode the fledgling economic recovery, but Orszag said it's a balancing act and that acting too fast could undercut the recovery.
Democratic officials say options include caps on the amount of money Congress gets to distribute each year for agency budgets.

Bush you "quoted"---Bush just failed to tell Americans that he secretly planned to forget getting Osama bin Laden & that he intended to instead concentrate on invading Iraq in an unnecessary war that would cost Americans TRILLIONS of dollars. Obama to government: "Guess what guys!!! I wasted billions and billions of dollars, and now all of you agency heads will pay the price for my stupidity and lack of willpower when it comes to overspending! Aren't you glad I'm the president now???"
