WASHINGTON (November 22, 2009)--A Democratic lawmaker who has been treated for breast cancer says the worries that the proposed health care overhaul would limit cancer screenings are overblown.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Florida, says fears that mammograms wouldn't be covered are misplaced and that Republican overhaul of the nation's health care system but still needs to be convinced that the Senate bill is the right path to that goal.

Saturday night, Democrats mustered the minimum 60 votes needed to advance the Senate bill to debate after the Thanksgiving break.

After that debate, the bill faces another vote that requires 60 senators in support.

Nelson appeared Sunday on ABC's "This Week."

Minuteman that is happening now, so the point would be....what. Health Insurance companies have been denying care, dropping people when they get sick and need the insurance, then paying politicians not to regulate them. I guess the real answer is to do nothing?

Obamacare is socialized medicine. It will become more and more limited if it is passed in the congress. Eventually, people will be denied health care if they are: too young, too old, too fat, too skinny, a smoker, a drinker... This is the promise of socialized medicine!!! Only the people who are fit and viable will be given health care. "Why waste time and money on people who will only continue in their bad health ways?" Just wait and see, all you Obama lovers.
