WASHINGTON (February 4, 2010)--President Barack Obama called on lawmakers Thursday to return civility back to the nation's capital.

Speaking at the annual National Prayer Breakfast, Mr. Obama said there is a sense that something is broken in Washington, that politicians aren't serving the public as well as they should be.

Mr. Obama urged leaders to be empowered by faith to step outside their comfort zones to bridge divisions and unite around their common goals.

Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow also attended the yearly breakfast, which has been held in Washington for more than 50 years.

Dillon: I recently responded to your comment, but they chose not to post it! It is probably a good thing, because I guarantee that you would not have liked it! I will say this, one can be a boldfaced liar and be civil about it at the same time! I think he is a snake-in-the-grass, and will say anything he has to to get his way! His tactics aren't designed to to be co-operative, but he will stoop to that if the situation calls for it! The only reason he made this comment is because things took a turn for the worst for him, and he had to do something to sway things back his way! I don't recall him making any statements like this when his crony congress had the edge! He was shuckin' and jivin' with a big smile on his face when things were going his way! Now, he has to kiss some $#@& to get the edge back! I can guarantee this too, he doesn't like it !!!!!!!

I think Dr. Who and Concerned American need to look up the definition of civility. It is ridiculous that anyone could claim Obama has been uncivil and impolite. Repubs have always lacked decorum when it came down to policits (I.e. the heckling , the witch trial of Bill Clintong and now Obama). In case yall haven't noticed neither party is calling any shots. Yall should be really proud! Bunch of hens!

Nobama couldn't have cared less about civility until he realized he was backed into a corner and his poll numbers were dropping like a bomb. His cronies Reid and Pelosi NEVER wanted civility when dealing with healthcare reform. Remember, it was (and is) the democrats that refused EVERY amendment and suggestion the Republicans presented to the healthcare bill in the house. They even cut off all debate!! Now that the libs know Obamacare is dead (thank you Scott Brown!), they all of a sudden want to make 'nice'. Sorry to steal from the leftist Ditsie Twits, but now the Republicans hold the cards and they are 'Not Ready to Make Nice!'.
