WASHINGTON (February 8, 2010)—U.S. Senate Democrats are hoping to push through a jobs bill this week, just days after Republican Scott Brown was sworn in to the seat from Massachusetts that the late Edward Kennedy held for decades, costing the Democrats their filibuster-proof supermajority.
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., says the message voters sent with Brown's upset victory is clear that the focus should be on jobs.
The final measure will likely include some tax cuts to win GOP support, including a tax break for businesses that hire unemployed workers.
The bill would also extend unemployment benefits for people whose payments have already run out.

William in Salado If you want American Companies to stay in America better get on the phone and call up these CEO's of these corporations that are sending American jobs that way. You will fine 99% of the time that these CEO are REPUBLICAN. WAKE UP! Republican CEO's are lobbying so hard agains President OBAMA because they don't want him to bring them to task for how they have ravaged America. Democrats don't want handouts they want JUSTICE!

Hey Dumbocrats, the focus is not on any form of a health bill or jobs, the focus that the people are saying is stop spending out hard earned tax money on stupidity. We need more American companies to stay in America and stop outsourcing jobs to cheap countries. we need to put pride back into the American Product and into the People of the Great Nation!
