WASHINGTON (May 3, 2010)--President Barack Obama has declared this Thursday a National Day of Prayer, despite a federal judge's ruling that doing so violates separation of church and state.
U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb suspended enforcement of her ruling while it's under appeal.
Evangelist Franklin Graham, the chairman of this year's National Day of Prayer, credits Crabb with focusing the nation's attention on an often-overlooked annual event.
"If I ever see her I'm just going to give her a big hug and a kiss,” he said.
In the presidential proclamation, Mr. Obama calls on Americans to "give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon our nation."

Preacherman, the censor is apparently better at their work than you think. They have canned several of mine as well, and I have bashed Hussein on occasion. Actually, those canned were quite mild, yet got the axe. However, you would have thought them most worthy of the axe. So, they at least are evenly committed. JR
I guess if your not bashing Obama, you comments wont be listed- I tried to list other comments and the censors are only allowing obama haters to voice their opinions- Which indicates this whole comment board is one side then. I ought to call the station in the morning and tell them there is no objective person to run the comments editing.
An attempt to make a big move with such a small step. Obama I don't need you to tell me when to pray. I got that covered. What I need you to do is get the heck away from my Constitutional rights!! Big government= snapped citizens....... You do the math!
