Bush 41 Endorses Perry

HOUSTON (October 25, 2010)--Republican Gov. Rick Perry picked up the endorsement of former first couple George H.W. and Barbara Bush Monday.

The former president, appearing with Perry at a Houston campaign event Monday, touted the governor as "the best we could possibly have."

Bush said it's, "absolutely essential" Perry be re-elected.

Perry faces Democrat Bill White, the former three-term Houston mayor, in next Tuesday's election.
