FORT WORTH (June 9, 2012)--Former presidential candidate Rick Santorum told Teas Republicans says he loves the tea party for "resurrecting" the U.S. Constitution, but said the document itself "is insufficient."
The former Pennsylvania senator said Friday that America thrives on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that, "True happiness comes from doing God's will."
Santorum addressed a gala dinner at the Texas Republican Convention, saying, “The left tries to drive faith out of the public square."
He called this year's election the most important in American history, adding that no one would be asked to risk their lives but "we are asking you to put your honor on the line."
Santorum also endorsed his former presidential rival, ex-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, which drew strong applause.
He said, "You need to help this man."
