An advisory committee is recommending that one Texas county use paint that sells for $450 a gallon as part of a restoration effort.

Doesn't surprise me. After all, years ago it was reported that our Pentagon (military leaders) bought hammers for over $500.00 each, and screwdrivers for around $150.00 each. When 'officials' are spending money that's not theirs, the cost is no problem!

Sounds like Amaeillo is having about the same problems as Waco! But I don't think $450.00 a gallon of paint is the solution.

More fleecing of the American taxpayer. I wonder who'll be getting the kickbacks from this, and how much the contractor (likely a friend or family member of some bureaucrat) purchases the paint for.
