AUSTIN (October 28, 2009)--Former Vice-President Dick Cheney will throw his support behind U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's campaign for governor next month.

The Hutchison campaign confirmed Wednesday that Cheney will endorse the Texas Republican's March primary challenge of Gov. Rick Perry at a fundraiser next month.

Campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Baker says details are still being worked out, but Cheney is scheduled to appear at a Nov. 17 fundraiser and campaign event in Houston.

The former vice president is popular with conservative activists and could help Hutchison bolster support among those conservative Texans whose votes could be key in her race against Perry in the next year’s Republican primary.

Will this really help Kay? Most Americans cannot stand Dick Cheney! Will the support of DARTH VADER (aka Snarlin' Dick Cheney**Lawbreaker- Deluxe- CIA-Agent-Outing-Dick Cheney** Chicken Hawk-5-Vietnam -War-Deferment-I-Had-Better-Things-to-Do Dick Cheney**Constitution-Stomping--Shoot-em-in-the-Face Dick Cheney) really help Kay attain the Republican nomination for Texas govenor? Rick Perry had the support of Crook/Greedy Phil Gramm & got the governor's job. So I guess anything can happen!
