Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates Debate On Feb. 8
The Democrats who are running for governor in Texas will debate next month in Dallas.

DALLAS (January 28, 2010)—Democratic Texas gubernatorial candidates former Houston Mayor Bill White and wealthy Houston businessman Farouk Shami, will debate on television on Feb. 8, PBS station KERA in Dallas announced Thursday.

KERA said the station and its media partners have scheduled the hour-long Democratic debate for 7 p.m. on Feb. 8 before a studio audience with questions from journalists and voters.

It will be broadcast statewide on television, radio and the Internet.

KERA also produced a Republican gubernatorial debate earlier this month.

The three GOP candidates for governor meet again Friday night in a debate organized by the Dallas-based television station chain Belo Corp.

Why are our candidates for Texas governor from both parties so silent on the need for Texas to adopt a state energy policy to fuel our cars and trucks with natural gas produced in Texas and the U.S. and to provide incentives to Texas farmers and homeowners to invest in solar and wind energy production on their property which would ensure continued Texas leadership as the energy provider for the nation would be a multiple win for Texas and the nation: more drilling jobs, more state revenue, more technological and construction jobs, cleaner air, and less dependency on the foreign oil of dictators, despots, kings, and potentates who take our foreign oil dollars to oppress their subjects and terrorize us?

Here is a debate question for Bill White and Kay Bailey Hutchinson and other Gubernatorial candidates from both parties: 10% plus unemployment, smuggled drugs and firearms endangering our families, blank check foreign wars on terror, illegal workers undocumented and untaxed, and a walk across Texas border, what solution to these most pressing problems will you have as Governor of Texas to these travesties of justice that even very economic justice oriented Democrats are just fed up with?
