AUSTIN (January 28, 2010)--Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, said Thursday Gov. Rick Perry's oversight of the Texas Enterprise Fund is unacceptable, and she called for an immediate audit of the job creation program.

Hutchison's statement Thursday came two days after Perry revealed that some enterprise fund contracts were canceled and others changed to make them more favorable to participating companies.

Perry made the disclosure as the nonprofit Texans for Public Justice was about to release a report on problems with the program.

Hutchison claimed Perry's office was trying to cover up damaging news in an election year.

Perry again defended the fund as successful Thursday.’

Hutchison and activist Debra Medina are challenging Perry in the March GOP primary.

Is this the same Kay that crowed about how she voted against the stimulus bailout funds and then turned around and bragged about the pork that her state was going to get that she put into the stimulus bill that she voted against? Talk about doublespeak!
