DALLAS (January 30, 2010)--U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and political activist Debra Medina ganged up Friday night on front-running Gov. Rick Perry as the three faced each other in the final televised debate before the March 2nd Republican primary for Texas governor.

Perry began the second televised debate among the three by defending his failed plan for a massive tollway system through Texas.

Perry said he didn't "think it was a mistake at all to have a vision to move people and produce through the state expeditiously."

Hutchison reiterated her support for restrictions on abortions but acknowledged that she opposes overturning Roe v. Wade.

Hutchison said she is "very concerned about what would happen" if the landmark ruling was overturned.

At the same time, she touted her belief in parental consent for minors seeking abortions and her support for bans on late-term abortions.

The debate Friday was at a television studio in downtown Dallas where the candidates faced a panel of print and television reporters.

There was not an audience.

The debate was broadcast live around the state on Belo-owned stations.

Medina was not originally invited, until a good showing at the first debate boosted her poll numbers.

i can tell you one thing. Ms Medina did indeed ANSWER the questions or comments; whereas, Mr. Good Hair and Kay Bailey just defended their own personal political careers and threw "mud" against each other. I sure wish there was another TV debate between these three candidates.

WoW!! Debra Medina is awesome! She's a real person who wants to "serve" the People of Texas as Governor...it's shocking after seeing all these fake Republican and Fake Politicians who are sold out before they ever get into office. After seeing both debates, Ms Medina has my Vote!
