WASHINGTON (July 29, 2010)--Mexican-born former federal prosecutor Marina Garcia Marmolejo has been nominated to the federal bench in Texas.
President Barack Obama nominated Marmolejo Wednesday to a U.S. District Court vacancy in the Southern District of Texas.
Marmolejo, 39, would replace Judge Samuel Kent, who is serving a 33-month federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to lying to investigators about sexually abusing two female employees.
The U.S. Senate must confirm Marmolejo's nomination, but both Texas senators praised the choice.
Marmolejo is a naturalized U.S. citizen from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico who served three years as an assistant federal public defender in West Texas before working as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of Texas from 1999 to 2007.

If this is such a scary pick, reckon why the two Republican senators endorse her so enthusiastically? They usually whine about everything Barack does, but like this. Weird.
Yes. He is setting the stage for this November by gaining the support of the illegals, Mexican. OK, don't tell me illegals can't vote. They do and they have!! We had better get out in force come this November. Everyone, this is no time to leave it to the rest of the folks. Get OUT and VOTE!!!
