From Keith Cavey: Sunday's weather should mirror the weather of the past couple of days in Central Texas. We'll start the day with mild temperatures, then warm up to near 100 degrees by afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will once again make their way up from the Texas Coast, but they probably won't make it any further north than the Bryan/College Station area. Our next significant chance for rain won't come until the middle to end of the coming week. That's when computer models continue to suggest that a tropical disturbance will enter the western Gulf of Mexico. It's far too early to say exactly where that system will end up, but if it gets close enough to Central Texas, it may bring us some much needed rain! While we continue to watch that disturbance in the western Caribbean, we're also tracking a new tropical storm off the U.S. east coast. Cristobal is the third tropical storm of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season, and you can keep up with his progress by checking out our Tropical Weather page!
