"Bleak" Friday (and Saturday and Sunday)

From Sean Bellafiore:

Flash Flood Watch in effect from 6 PM Thursday to 6 AM Sunday for Mills, Hamilton, Bosque, Hill, and Navarro Counties.

The weather for the rest of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend won't be the greatest across much of Central Texas. It will not rain continuously across Central Texas, but any breaks in the rain won't last too long.

Widely scattered showers will kick off Black Friday with temperatures Friday morning in the upper 60's and lower 70's. Heavier rain moves in for the afternoon hours as a cold front moves in. Temperatures will sharply drop behind the mid-afternoon front with widespread showers and pockets of heavy rain continuing into the evening hours. Temperatures by Saturday morning will likely be in the upper 30's and low 40's, with wind chill values as low as the lower 30's.

Cold and rainy is the story for Saturday and Sunday. Periods of light to moderate rain will move through the area both afternoon with afternoon temperatures in the low 40's Saturday, and mid to upper 40's Sunday. Rain should start exiting the area by Monday morning. 1-4" of rain expected over much of Central Texas, with higher rainfall totals north of Highway 84, and west of I-35.
