Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Sprinkles Possible Through Friday AM!

From Rusty Garrett:

Cloudy skies, light wind and high humidity will be the rule overnight and for the first half of "Good Friday." An occasional sprinkle or two is possible, but no significant rain due until this weekend.

Frankly, Saturday will likely be the drier of the two days with the best chance for rain and a few thundershowers on Easter Sunday.

If you have outdoor plans for Sunday, pack the umbrella, although there should be several dry hours with the highest possibilities during the afternoon and evening. While no major severe weather outbreak is expected, should we see clearing and afternoon heating, an isolated strong storm is possible. Chances for rain end Monday with warming into the mid 80s!
