Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

If you have forgotten your organization password, please submit a new Closings Registration Form. If you have an urgent closing, and cannot access your school administration, send an email to from an official organization email address, and we will enter the closing manually as soon as possible.

What Happened To Autumn?

From Rusty Garrett:

The Fall-like readings that so many have been hoping for - have been shelved for the short term. Temperatures lately have felt more like late Summer!

Another big concern would be the lack of rainfall. The next weather system to approach for the end of the week may be a disappointment for many. An isolated shower will be possible Thursday and perhaps a bit more on Friday, but the dynamics are just not there for widespread precip!

Cooling will be marginal as well - as the system passes and we return to a northerly winds. A slight drop is due Saturday, but then Summer weather comes roaring back next week with low to mid 90s again possible!
