Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Storm Chances to Start the Work Week!

From Jon Haverfield:

Spotty showers will come to an end tonight but we will continue with the clouds. Lows tonight will only be near 60.

Thunderstorm chances are going up Monday afternoon as a weak cold front sets up just to our north and west. We could see scattered thunderstorms develop during the heat of the day along the front then move to the south and east toward the I-35 corridor. Main threat with these storms will be large hail and damaging straight-line winds.

Things clear out Tuesday and we're looking at a fairly quiet and warm week ahead with highs in the 80's.
