Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

If you have forgotten your organization password, please submit a new Closings Registration Form. If you have an urgent closing, and cannot access your school administration, send an email to from an official organization email address, and we will enter the closing manually as soon as possible.

Keeping An Eye On Slight Rain Chances!

From Brady Taylor:

The well above normal October temperatures continue today across Central Texas! We will see highs back in the lower 90s, under partly cloudy skies. We may see a few stray showers this afternoon, but the best rain chances will stay well west of our area.

We will see slightly better rain chances tomorrow as a weak front moves through Central Texas. The coverage of rain tomorrow still doesn't look all that great for most of us, as rain chances are only around 30%.

We will see a slight dip in the temperatures Saturday behind the front, but we are right back in the 90s Sunday through much of next week.
