Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Possible Record Cold For Saturday, More Wet Weather

From Nathan Gogo:

The lowest high temperatures February 28th has ever recorded in Waco was 38 degrees going back to 1902. We will come close to that.

Periods of light rain continues through Saturday evening. Roads have improved greatly since Saturday morning as temperatures have risen above the freezing mark.

From Saturday night and onward we will remain in a pattern which will include periodic rain and continue well into the new week. The good news is that during this period, we will be WELL above the mark where wintry weather could occur!
