Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

First Full Day Of Winter Comes Mild

From Nathan Gogo:

Happy Winter! The Winter Solstice occurs at 5:03 PM Central Time on Sunday evening. The first full day of winter, Monday, looks mild. High's will spike to near 70 degrees by afternoons end. Winds will be breezy from the south at 10-20 mph. The warmth will be short lived however as a cold front moves through on Tuesday and will give way to a chance for some light rain showers and much cooler temperatures for sure. High's will only reach the low 50's.

Wondering when sunshine will return? The answer is Wednesday. And there will be plenty of it. From Wednesday through the holiday weekend we'll see lots of sun with temperatures in the 50's and low 60's for high's.

Happy Holidays from KWTX and the Doppler 10 Forecast Center!
