Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Rain Chances Increasing!

From Jon Haverfield:

Its going to be another hot and humid day across Central Texas for this Thursday. Highs this afternoon will climb into the mid-to-upper 90s, with a slight chance for a few isolated showers.

Better rain chances return to the forecast as we end out the workweek and head into the weekend. Right now the best rain chances look to arrive on Friday and Saturday, so we may have a few showers and storms around for area high school football games. Some may be strong at times with heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning being the threats. Chances are around 40% area-wide.

The rain should be shifting off to the east on Sunday, meaning the odds for rain during the Baylor-SMU game looks to be low. Things then start to heat up and clear out by next week when we near the triple-digits once again.
