Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

If you have forgotten your organization password, please submit a new Closings Registration Form. If you have an urgent closing, and cannot access your school administration, send an email to from an official organization email address, and we will enter the closing manually as soon as possible.

Light Shower Still Possible Through Sunday Evening

From Nathan Gogo:

The bulk of the rain has pushed off to the east of the KWTX viewing area for Sunday night. Still expect some off and on light showers through Sunday evening. Temperatures will hover around 40°.

We'll see a bit warmer conditions for your Monday with highs in the low to mid 50s. That's still about 10° below normal for this time of year. A light shower will still be possible for Mon/Tues but most places should stay dry.

As far as temperatures for the new work week, we look to stay on the cool side. Temperatures Mon-Fri will rise only into the mid 50s by each afternoon's end. More sunshine will make its way into Central Texas by Wednesday afternoon.
