Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

If you have forgotten your organization password, please submit a new Closings Registration Form. If you have an urgent closing, and cannot access your school administration, send an email to from an official organization email address, and we will enter the closing manually as soon as possible.

Risk of Storms Continues!

From Rusty Garrett:

*Severe T'Storm Watch valid through 11pm from I-35 West**

A few strong to severe thunderstorms passed over parts of Central Texas earlier this Thursday. The main show will arrive later tonight (9pm to 11pm along the central I-35). These storms developed over West Texas earlier today and will bring a renewed threat of wind, hail and flash flooding.

By Friday afternoon, there MAY be a break in the activity as the air will be worked over from the overnight and morning storms, but there is still a slight chance of storms.

Even more arriving Saturday, but dry weather is due by Sunday into the early to middle part of next week!
