Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Rainy & Cool Weekend Continues!

From Nathan Gogo:

Rain is expected to continue through Saturday evening. Cool air at the surface, overrun by moisture from the south and west, leads to pretty reasonable prospects for rain across Central Texas this weekend.

The rain won't be too heavy, averaging around a third to a half inch in most locations, but will result in alternate plans for those with outdoor activities.

Temperatures will in fact rise through Saturday evening to near 60 degrees for Sunday morning, but will fall almost through Sunday. By Monday morning, lows will dip to around freezing. The weather will stay cool on Monday, with highs in the 40s. Another slight chance for rain arrives on Wednesday, but coverage will be spotty.
