Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

Please be aware, this automated system purges all entries at 10am each day Central Time. If you have posted a delay or closing occuring after 10am or wish to post such an event, it must be posted (or re-posted) after 10am.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

Rain Coverage Expected to Increase!

From Jon Haverfield:

Former hurricane, now Tropical Storm Odile, continues to send a plume of moisture west to east across Texas. Embedded in that flow are scattered showers which will remain in the forecast for the next several days! The best chance for rain looks to be on Thursday. No severe weather is expected but some showers may contain heavy rain.

We will spend the remainder of the week in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Rain chances remain in the forecast through the weekend, before some cooler and drier air moves in with our next cold front on Sunday. Expecting highs in the lower 80's by Monday!
