Severe Weather Closing Registration

KWTX-TV uses an automated system for school delays and closings due to weather emergencies. This system allows each school district to enter information specific to its situation using the internet. Only schools, colleges and major businesses will be displayed on television. All registered organizations are displayed on this page below.

To access the system, your organization must be registered with KWTX-TV. Once the form is received, your organization will be issued a user id and password to access the system via the internet.

If you have forgotten your organization password, please submit a new Closings Registration Form. If you have an urgent closing, and cannot access your school administration, send an email to from an official organization email address, and we will enter the closing manually as soon as possible.

Tuesday Highs - More Tolerable!

From Rusty Garrett:

After an uncomfortable set of afternoon highs Monday, a "cool" front will re-direct surface winds to the north and drier air will help curb temperatures overnight and Tuesday!

The majority of the area along and west of I-35 will see little more than a shift in winds. To the east and southeast of the interstate, and especially in Southeast Texas...there could be a pop up shower or t-storm late night along the passing frontal boundary.

We will all be in drier air Tuesday afternoon, with highs in the upper 80s. That is still above October standards, but resembles a closer call to normal than Sunday and Monday's crazy temps!
