Originally from South Texas, Alex Cano loves to meet people from all walks of life.
She graduated from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas and began her broadcasting career as a radio disc jockey back in 2010 while in school.
Three years later she decided to move to TV news as the assignment editor for KGNS-TV in Laredo, TX, a sister station of KWTX-TV. Slowly, but surely she began reporting on news pertaining to the border from immigration to violence all while managing a newsroom.
She’s had the pleasure and honor of working side by side with amazing reporters who she considers her family.
Alex loves to work on stories that make a difference in the community and bring people out to help for a cause.
In October 2017, she transferred from KGNS to another Gray TV station, KWTX News 10 as the bureau chief for the station in Bell County. She is excited to meet the fine folks of the area and tell their stories.
