Red Wine Velvet Chocolate Truffles Ingredients
1 9x13 Red Wine Velvet Chocolate Cake or your favorite cake recipe.
1 pkg 8oz softned cream cheese
16 oz white chocolate
2 oz dark chocolate for drizzle Instructions Prepare
9x13 cake according to the recipe.
Let it cool completely then crumble the cake into the bowl.
Add softened cream cheese and knead gently with your fingers until fully incorporated.
Roll about 1 heaping tablespoon of the mixture into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
This will make about 35 to 40 balls
. Set in fridge to chill.
Melt white chocolate.
Remove cake balls from fridge. Using a fork dip into melted chocolate.
Place one ball at a time in melted chocolate and roll to coat evenly. Place on parchment paper and put in fridge until harden. Use melted dark chocolate into a plastic bag, cut the corner to drizzle.
BONUS Chef Heir's Red Wine Velvet Chocolate Cake
1 c flour
3 tbsp dark cocoa powder
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 1/4 c sugar
1/2 butter melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 c red wine
Drops of red food color until color desired
Preheat oven at 350
Whisk together flour, sea salt, baking powder, and cocoa together in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients until uniform. Batter will be thick. Add red color.
Pour batter in a greased and floured 9 inch pans or 9x13. Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove cakes from pan and cool completely. Cool completely before frosting.
