TEMPLE (August 11,2016) Allison Dickson was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy when she was 15 months old. But, that's not stopped her from living her life and pursuing her dreams. She attended college in Georgetown, then graduated from Baylor Law School and now she's raising money for a scholarship she started so others can receive the same education that she did, without worrying about the expenses. She started the Allison Dickson Baylor Law Scholarship. They need $50,000, to make sure the scholarship continues forever! Right now, they are at $32,000.
They are having an event Friday, August 19th to raise money for the scholarship. The "As You Wish" event will show the movie, "The Princess Bride" on a 46 foot screen provided by Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas. There will be food trucks, face painting, bounce houses, a silent auction with amazing prizes such as a puppy, personal training sessions even a chance to invite 40 people to ride from Temple to the Alamo Drafthouse for a night of fun! But, they are looking for more prizes to give away for their silent auction. If you would like to donate, you have until Wednesday, August 17th!
