WACO, Texas (KWTX) Four Waco residents were displaced by fire early Friday.

Firefighters were sent at 7:50 a.m. Friday to an address in the 3100 block of McKenzie Street after a caller reported seeing smoke coming from the back of a home.

Assistant Waco Fire Chief Chris Pecacheck said four people live in the home but only two were home at the time of the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.

A fire marshal was summoned to investigate the cause of the fire, which started in a garage.

Damage to the rest of the home was minor but the structure is not livable without repair.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross was assisting the victims with immediate needs.
